Surrender to Love

An open Bible with a blue ribbon bookmark on a textured beige background, featuring the text 'Today's Verse' and John 14:15, stating 'If you love me, you will keep my commandments.'

My relationship Christ continues to grow deeper because my love of Christ continues to grow deeper. I handed over a part of my life to Him when I accepted Him. I was broken and realized that I had been sinning against God. I was a mess and needed help.

As I have grown from that moment, I have surrendered to Christ. I long to know more about Him and to spend more time with Him. When things go wrong, I turn to Him in prayer. Somewhere from accepting salvation to now, I shifted from having Christ as just a part of my life to being the center of my life. I feel in love with Him.

God loves us so much that He made a way for us to come directly to Him. Jesus said that no one comes to the Father except through Him. When we accept Christ, the Holy Spirit comes and lives inside of us. It is His power and counsel that helps us to understand the Bible and to follow it.

By fanning the Spirit, we can light a fire in our soul for God. We learn how God wants us to live and who He is by reading the Bible. We come to Him in prayer to share our feelings and life with Him. Prayer is not meant for God to give us what we want. Prayer is the communication that binds us to God, regardless of the outcome.

Loving God well helps us to follow His commands.
