What if we told people the worst thing about us when we met them? Would it send people running or would it create a unity? Most people assume that the people they meet have always been like they are. But, each of us had gone astray. Each of us have sins that we have committed.
Some people’s sins are just more visible than others. However, sin is sin. One of the most deadly sins is pride. It isn’t easily seen but it is one that can separate us from God when we make the assumption that we are closer to God than others are. We have all, at one point, turned away from God.
The beauty of God’s love is while we were still sinners, God sent His only Son to die for our sins. Even 700 years before Jesus was born, Isaiah foretold of this amazing love. He told that the sins of the world would be laid upon one man for everyone.
Jesus knew that He came to earth to die by the very hands of those who proclaimed they loved Him. He was the only one that could live a perfect life to be a ransom for the sinfulness of mankind. By accepting His sacrifice, we are imputed with His righteousness. We stand holy and forgiven before God.
Walk close to the shepard and keep your eyes on Him so you do not stray.
